1) Is it the Easiest, why?
Im getting a v2 premium hdmi 360 and i hope i get Benq because according to the xboxdrives database its that or most likely 79 version! If i get one of those im selling it on ebay :).
2)Whats the differenc between 79k and 79fl
3) What else do i need apart from Dl discs, dl burner, Sata cable and card, croc clips and usb drive to perform the mod? Can i flash my pc dvd drive with Kreon or do i need to buy the samsung one?

i can't speak to the 79 versions, as i have the 78...as for the drive needed to read originals...you'll need a samsung drive flashed with the Kreon firmware

I've used 360drives about a dozen times and it's always been correct. You would be better off getting the Benq. You'ld have to get a mod chip (none are solderless) for those Hitachi 79's.
For making backups, you'ld want one the the Samsung:
sh-d162c - ide, discontinued
sh-d162d - ide
sh-d163a - sata, discontinued
sh-d163b - sata
The Kreon firmware will only work on those models. Flashing it to any other pc drive will brick it.

Although there are some Hitachis with no firmware stated there are 79's. If i do recieve one do you think i should sell it immediately or open it up and check if it could be a 78. If that fails id lose the warranty and get a much less price.

Chances are pretty good that if you pick up one at a larger retailer, it'll be a 79. The 79's have been out for awhile now and most stores turn their stock over fairly quick.
There are ways to check which Hitachi drive you get, but that's leaning towards fraud (if you want to return it afterwards) so I really don't want to mention it.
I guess if I was in your shoes, I'll look at the latest manufacture date (on 360drives) for the Hitachi 78, and then try to find one from then and older.
Of course, if you can find a Benq...

Now im wandering what the fraud thing is :).
Im buying it online and i asked for the manufacturers date and made up because i wanted better heatsinks. I got the reply that its within the last three months. Also 78s and v2 premiums are rare so ill just sell it on ebay if i get a Hitachi.
Btw, guides say burn a 4x but most dual layers discs are 2.4x whats that about?

Ahhh... this is another big topic. Not so much the burning speed, but the media to use.
The best media is Verbatim DVD+R DL's. And it is the most recommended. But it's the most expensive, too. Here in the US it can be found on sale for ~$30/20 pack. Some people will recommend Memorex, but that media is too risky. It's made by many different manufactures. So you may get a good spindle one week and nothing but coasters the next.
As for burning at 4x, yep, you can. I do.

Yeah im defo getting Verbatims i dont want to risk anything. In uk a 10 pack is more than your 20 pack lol.
