Accessing the recovery menu through the XMB

I'm running 3.52 m33-4 I've tried using the program that can access the recovery menu from the XMB. For a while it worked. But now it doesn't. It just turns off the PSP. I've tried restoring the default settings, and re-formatting the mem-stick. What do I do? Is it bricked? Will I have to use Pandora's battery?

So you can still boot to the XMB but can't boot to recovery menu?

Try installing 3.71 M33 to see if you get your recovery menu back. HERE is a guide on how to update to 3.71 M33.
