i am having trouble finding a unpatched lcs stories so i want to try out the other way. my question is will i just be able to format the memory stick back to normal or is it permanent?

yes, the magic memory stick can be formatted to be normal again.

for the hardmod, you will have to resolder the missing pin to use it as a normal battery again. removing the pin make it a permanent pandora's battery.

as for the magic memory stick, google totalnewbi installer. it will create the magic memory stick without a custom firmware psp.

so i almost had my battery apart and i cut into it (a little) and there was all this smoke and smelliness, but i did not hit the miniature motherboard in there so i wanted to see if it would still and it did, but i dont know if it is very safe to use anymore. any ideas?
