The Orange Box is a good deal because it's 5 games in one! But if you've played those games before, then you're not missing much! My buddy has Mass Effect and he loves it! I have Oblivion and I love that! Halo 3 is a good game to get, the Campaign can be short, but the online play is fun! You could also think about Call of Duty 4! That game is AWESOME!!!

dude, I would go to GameStop and use your $120 on used games, there is same GREAT deals on used, recent games there. This way you will be able to buy 3-4 instead of just 2.

If you had to get only two I wouldnt go for two shooters as you might get bored from just shooting things, (I know I would) but thats just my personal opinion. If it were me I'd get Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4, and Mass effect or Assassins Creed! however "Stanlane" has good point you may be able to get those games used and you could end up with 3-4 good games! A week after Halo 3 was released I found a used copy and got it for $10.00 cheaper, the disc was clean and still plays great, as you said I've never had a problem with used games, plus stores like that usually will give you some kinda warranty on it like 30-60 days if its broke come in and get a replacement!

Ya all those games you have listed (except Mass Effect) I have seen at my local Gamestop used! I always go for the used games, because they are cheaper and still work!

If you're thinking about Rock Band... Be WARNED!!! I got it and the Guitar broke after playing it for 2 days! I'm a little ticked with that, and I'm just going to get a refund!

i would have to agree with StanLane, you will surely get more for your money going to a store like Gamestop and getting some of the games that have been out for a while but are still top quality.

My list would be:
Forza Motorsports 2 - by far the best racing game on the 360
Rainbow Six Vegas - one of the best FPS games on the 360
The Orange Box- top notch game and you get 5 for the price of one
Virtua Fighter 5 - probably the best fighting game on the 360

Some others:
Bioshock was pretty good
Gears Of War was good
NHL 08 if your a hockey fan for sure
Need For Speed Carbon - older but still a better game then the newer Pro Street
F.E.A.R. - another older FPS that is quite good

here are some good buys i see listed right now:
Call Of Duty 3 $24.99
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter $14.99
Hitman Bloodmoney $26.99
Need For Speed Most Wanted $19.99
Call Of Duty 2 $14.99
Dead Or Alive 4 $26.99
Forza 2 $39.99
Rainbow Six Vegas $34.99
Need For Speed Carbon $26.99
Far Cry:Instincts- Predator $24.99
Ghost Recon A.W. 2 $34.99
Burnout Revenge $26.99
Condemned $14.99
Tomb Raider Legend $19.99
F.E.A.R. $26.99

wow! thanks everyone! i think im going to go with Oblivian since it has SOOO much in it and will entertain me for hours on end and Call of Duty. i agree on the not gettign two shooters, so im getting COD instead of mass effect becuase COD is multiplayer. ive also been checking out Bioshock, so pretty much i want all of those games but i'll most likely get which ever ones gamestop has used.

If you are going with Oblivion be sure to buy the Game of the Year edition, it has Shiving Isles and Knights of the Nine. Over 100 hours of gameplay!

Yea, make your money work for you, there are definitly good used games at Gamestop/EBgames. Thats where i buy mine at.

The Orange Box is an excellent choice. It was my first game i bought too. And Mass Effect looks awesome. For me, im getting Bioshock, Gears of War, and Guitar Hero III for christmas.

i LOVE gears of war, but i dont think i'll ever buy it though because you dont have a crosshair for your guns, and i cant go without one when i play. unless when i played it was turned off and all you have to do is turn it on through the menu

Limelight, you lucky bas***d. All 3 of those are great games. Im getting guitar hero 2 for christmas. I played 3 on my cousins ps2, and I disliked the song selection, and the new boss battle idea isn't one of my favs.

Off topic, but could someone tell my why Guitar Hero 2, with the guitar and game bundle costs $98, and Guitar Hero 3 with the same guitar costs $89???

I don't understand. Am I missing something on the box?

truehaven, you are nice, but you seem to be bragging about this, most of us got more games and stuff than you for Christmas, but you don't hear us bragging on a message board. Sorry if you need attention.

*Edited - I find this absolutely hypocritical since this is coming from someone who has been banned more than 15 times for the absolute childish posts under Mr.Xbox360, Samwheat, StanLane, DratsHomo, dxdcs and so on....oh and now this one*
