To be honest, I Don't even use ISOs for PSX games. In my opinion, the best way to get PSX games onto your psp is to use CLONE CD and Popstation.

basically, you just clone the game image onto your computer with clone cd (Which could not be easier, its like 2 clicks) than convert the IMG file with popstation to a EBOOT.PBP Every game I've run has worked flawlessly with this method.

(if you want to take it a step further you can create custom Icons and backrounds for your eboot files with a program called PSPbrew.)
