Why does my game minimize???

I bought Unreal Tournament 2004 about a year ago, and decided to re-install the game. Whenever I play it though, about every 10-15 minutes, the game minimizes. It does this with all my games, and my internet browser will fade out as if another program is being launched. Any way of making this stop???

If you have any software which updates regularly, such as I do with Nod32, when you are playing a game and the software completes the update and launches it's notification, it will minimize your game to the toolbar.
This has happened to me on several occasions. I think you can turn off the notifications. If it's not this, hope you can find the answer to your specific problem.
