I need to format my memory stick. I have a 3.52 m33-4 psp, if I format my psp, will something happen to it? Will I lose my version or something of the sort other than the saved data that I have?
I am noob so please help. Thanks.

formatting the memory stick does not affect any of your flash memory, which is where your gameboots, xmb, firmware, and other crap is held. Formatting your memory stick will do no harm to your psp it will only make you lose all the files on it like game saves, isos, any homebrew. But again it will not harm your firmware.

can you answer me something? I was reading on the sony website and said that if I can not transfer something successfully, such as what happens when I drag a file and it never appears in the corresponding section, I should just reformat the memory stick. Do you know what I should do? should I format?

honestly I would not take such a drastic measure as to reformat when a file does not transfer, I would simply try to transfer again and if it doesn't effect the memory then I would worry about it, now if it takes up like 100mb and it isnt showing up then maybe but if you cannot see a difference then I wouldn't worry about it. (although I have never had this happen)
