CoD4 backup....should I be worried?

I just created a backup of the game, but heard from a friend that you could get banned from LIVE for having a bad burn. I've been playing the one player mode, but unsure if he's talking out of his butt, or if there's some validity to his words.

I did some searches, but only found evidence of bannings with the beta.

Please help :D

yes, he is telling the truth. If you make a bad back up which you play online then you can be banned.

If you made the back up yourself using one of the flashed Samsung DVD-Rom drives in your PC then your copy is most likely as good as you can get.

If you downloaded it on the other hand then there is where you may get a bad back up.

There were a bunch of new games which were recently released. So naturally there was a flood of scene releases, Call of Duty 4 being one of them.

The majority believes the new bannings are due to some bad releases, but can't narrow down which ones.

So, the only way to be sure you have a backup which is as good as you can get would be to make it yourself.

I know a could of people that have been playing the 1st available downloadable copy of this almost daily and they aren't banned. BTW one of them did get banned in the 1st banned wave.

I played it once myself, but as of today my copy will be from an original as i am not taking any unnecessary chances.

I got banned and have recently been playing cod4 & very little else, but my brother and one of my mates got the same release and they're o.k.
my mate got a ban on the first wave of bans last year but my bro's been ok both runs??
