Just WiiKEY'ed 1.9g Wii ver 3.1e Will not play setup disc.
Will update with 1.9g disc and homer shouts out when complete.
Will state a game cube disc is inserted but will not play,
Have tried different disc types and different speeds.
Any ideas what i should/can do? Play's original's a ok.
Either Unable to read disc or there is a problem power off etc.
Wanted to use setup disc 1.3 to change settings, Any idea's?
Thks,

Have a look at this thread at the bottom, I think the fix posted by "AtiLaw" should do it for you.

Ok Tried this and still unable to read disc. Only disc that works is the 1.9g update works fine, and original's, Any other ideas? Thks,
Some discs show a game cube icon but when trying to play displays error message.

Is there a Way to confirm if the wiikey is working in my wii? If i can see game cube logo and reads 1.9g update disc and plays orginals does this mean the wiikey is working as it can read one or part of a writable dvd? Or could this be a soldering problem? Mine is an early November 2006 Wii

If the update ran, then the WiiKey is working. It's a burnt disk, and the Wii can't read burned disks without a mod.

On the same thread I posted before, xboxd00d says about using the GCOS method this might do it if not I'd try posting on that tread, the last post by xboxd00d brings up some valid WiiKey points, do they truly have a PAL mode?

Also there is a link to making GCOS disks on this thread,

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/589738

in the apps folder of the hacked 1.3 config disk there is the make-multi v3 that you need to make a GCOS disk.

good luck.

Thks, Sorted it now, I think the wiikey was not soldered 100% correct, Intermittent JOBby. Used the Wiikey base disc 1.2 then 1.2 config to change region code then 1.3 disc, all worked fine on Datawrite red 16x + discs. But now time to play games get error message wioth these discs. |Will but some verbatium -r and test Thanks Bri.
