my sister has just been ofered a wii from spain and was told its only the plug that needs changing is this right or will it not work over here.thanks

AFAIK this is correct, just get the mains plug changed or buy an adaptor

If u live in USA, it won
If you live in UK... i;m not sure
Other place of Europe just change the adapter since is pal and 220v
