i downloaded a movie in avi format an i use covertxtodvd to convert it to dvd.now i use nero burning rom to burn the movie onto 2 different disk. now i want to play back the movie on my stand alone player 1 of the movie plays an the dosen't. what have cause this problem i burned both of them at the same speed 4x

1 avi to 2 dvdR's?

how big was the avi to start with?
and how big did the dvd files end up?
did you split the dvd some how?

convertxtodvd burns.

well i downloaded the movie it was like 701mb an when i used convertxto dvd it ended up to 3.54gb.an i used nero burning rom to burn it to different dvd+r blanks. an i burned them 1 by 1 not the same time cause i only have 1 burner

I wonder if he/she meant two copies of the same AVI file converted to DVD. And youre right, ConvertXtoDVD burns...

Edit: I don't understand why you have to use Nero Burning Rom when ConvertXtoDVD has that capability as first suggested by Rotary. By the way, are you using the same media to burn?

The way you've stated your problem is a little fuzzy...I assume you've burned the same movie twice and not split the resulting file to burn onto two separate discs as the 3+ gig file will easily fit onto a single disc.

Is your firmware up to date on your burner?
What brand media are you using?

or is this the first time u did avI-dvd
which/what generation dvd player u have
the reason i ask u- i had the same problem end up with old dvd player and i use latest codecs
