I have been worrying about the whole "Am I gonna get banned" thing for too long. Now this update is coming soon and may possible bring new security. If we have to update our firmware again and reburn games with added security in order to play thats gonna be a huge hassle. I have 50 backups and if doing a update on the firmware is gonna make them unplayable then forget it lol. So Now I eagerly wait to get banned to I can stop worrying about it. It will actually give me a sigh of relief. Anyone else feel the same way about it?

if your wanting to get banned, how about you just trade consoles with someone that is already banned?

Cause my console I have taken very good care of and it has never overheated on me. If I trade it in I may get a defect. We know how common those are.

Thats what my point was. Worrying about getting banned is pointless. If I get banned now I won't have ot worry about getting banned and I save 16 dollars a month on two live accounts.

your getting ripped it your paying 8 bucks for each account per month. a year subscription card only costs 50 bucks at wal-mart....

Well its only 34 more dollars a year so I don't know how ripped I'm getting but it should be free anyways. We are all getting ripped for having to pay for it. Its lame...you have to have a paid service in order to download game demos?? Demos are there to sell games. Thats like paying to watch comercials. And the marketplace is rediculous...Lets charge somone 5.00 for a background picture. What a ripoff. I'm suprised they don't charge you for the game updates to fix known bugs. I think that if they find a way to detect all the consoles running backups and they ban every one it will serve them right by the loss they will take by loosing subscribers. Banning people is not gonna make a huge differnce in if people are buying originals or not. but it will make a difference in how many people have a paid live account. Ban everyone. Cancel the whole thing as a matter of fact. Its all been tainted.

No you can download demos with Xbox Live Silver and that's free. I'm pretty sure Gold (the pay service) is just for playing other players online and possibly communicating with other players.

yep that's right, only pay the subscription if you want to play multiplayer online

Yeah I'll do that. I'll be the test dummy. Soon as they put out the update I'm gonna log into Live and play some games and see if they ban me with the current firmware. Only a few more days.

Soon as I do the update I'm gonna play backup halo 3 online for a while. If I don't get banned I'm gonna put in a game that the crc did not check out right on to see if I get banned then. You know the thing is. I'll prolly be the only one to not get banned since I don't really care anymore lol.

xbox has updates? like system updates? what happens when it updates? i just bought my xbox and im clueless..going to get it modded to..what should i know? like can i play ANY game that has been released, or the update kills it for future generation games? like super mario galaxy for the wii, i cant play that unless i update and i dont want to, is that like the 360?
