Hey everyone. I am not one to just make random post but I have been searching for two days to find a answer and nothing. The guides here are great but I am running into problems that are not covered. First off I just updated to 3.71m33-3 on my slim. I am trying to update the popsloader.prx but it wont show in the recovery menu. In my root I have SEPLUGINS. Inside that I have popsloader.prx, pops.txt, and popsloader folder. The pops.txt reads ms0:/seplugins/popsloader.prx
inside the popsloader folder I have these files and are named accordingly:
idcanager_old.prx
pafmini372.prx
popsman372.prx
libpspvmc372.prx
pops372.prx
To see if maybe there was an installation error I tried the irshellautoboot.prx and it was recognized and works fine. This leads to my second problem. I have been trying to play my PS1 games on my PSP. I have gotten the emulator to work with previous CFW, but for some reason now it just doesn't want to work. I have tried Autopops4, Simple pops GUI, and PSx2PSP. First off simple and PSX1PSP do not automatically put the game id in. I had no idea where to get this from but then I realized I can search for it in Autopops4. So I did that and I was able to generate the eboot.pbp. I copy the folders to ms0:\psp\game\ and when I go to load the PSX2PSP game it loads normally then goes to a black screen and does nothing. Simple doesn't even load and says the game is corrupt. I own the actual game and ripped the iso 2 ways. Once with alcohol 120% and once with Magic ISO.
So to the people of the community please help me fix these problems. I have searched and tried everything I can think of. Also I put all the main problems in bold. People tend tell everyone to do things even thought they have already tried it.

Please note that the files for the popsloader were decrypted from official 3.72 firmware except the 2 that were supplied by DAX

HERE are the 3.00 through the current pops versions for 3.71 M33. Make sure you download the 3.71 M33 compatible popsloader and just follow the instructions for install.

I use PSX2PSP to convert the PSX images to an EBOOT file and have had no issues.

Unfortunately I have done all of that and when I go to the menu to load the plugin nothing shows up.

Try booting the PSX game but hold the R trigger button down while booting the game. if you had a previous popsloader loaded for the game then it is just booting to that version you choose previously.

Holding the R Trigger button down will bring the menu back up for you to try a different pops version.

ahh i love finding my own personal stupid errors. Just realized that something very simple. I actually named the pops.txt file pops.txt so the recovery must of seen pops.txt.txt making it invalid. I Also found out what i was doing wrong with PSX2PSP. Instead of using the simple search function for my game title, i was just typing it in. Thats why i didnt have the game and save id. unfourtuanly my game still wont load. but the popsloader works now and so does PSX2PSP

ok this is how i have my files orientated maybe i am missing something
ms0:\PSP\GAME\FFVII
inside FFVII is EBOOT.PBP and KEYS.BIN. the only file generated by PSX2PSP was the EBOOT.PBP

I have the below GAME and SAVE ID # for FFVII

GAME ID: SCUS 94163
SAVE ID: SCUS 94163

Both are the same ID # and use the same ID# for all disc.

So it would be like this...

DISC1 - GAME ID: SCUS 94163 / SAVE ID: SCUS 94163
DISC2 - GAME ID: SCUS 94163 / SAVE ID: SCUS 94163
DISC3 - GAME ID: SCUS 94163 / SAVE ID: SCUS 94163

My son uses 3.52 pops version to play it.

The directory you have above is correct.

So start PSX2PSP and load the EBOOT file and rename the GAME and SAVE ID # for all the disc as above.

Since your on 3.71 M33 you shouldn't need the keys file. Just try with and without it. But you shouldn't need it.

yeah i've tried everything. I still keep getting a black screen and no game. i used 3.52 and 3.71 with no luck. Maybe magic iso is doing something wrong. what would be a good free alternative.

You shouldn't have to put a space. The SCUS and # are selected in different sections.

Choose SCUS in the drop down menu then in the space provided to the right type in the #.

You still need to make sure the GAME ID and SAVE ID is the same for all 3 disc. If they are not then when you get done with disc 1 and go to disc 2 the gamesave will not load.
