After buying a Wii from China, I cam back to my country I found out it was Japanese!!!! I really was shocked but the good thing it was moded and it plays all the type of games but SMG!!!
I have many questions regarding this issue,
I opened my Wii to figure out what is the mod used and I couldnt recognize it as wiikey or wiiD or wiinja or even CycloWiz!!!
so I dunno which mod upgrade i should use!!! is there any way to figure this out??
ok as I toled you my Wii is NTSC-J
so if I bought SMG NTSC-U/C version (original) one.
would it worked on my system without the need to the upgrade thing??

The game is not region compatable, there is a list of games that don't work with the Japanese wii no matter what. The same is true for the other wiis.
This is because the modchips aren't 100% region free yet, a Japanese console wii will also not play cooking mama (ntsc-u), wii big brain academy (ntsc-u), fire emblem (ntsc-u) and so on...
hmmm thats getting a bit complicated, but I can play supermario sunshine (ntsc-u).
its weired, anyway I figured out that am using wiikey inside my console, but i wont take the risk on a BETA fix, I will wait hopefully they will have a full release or something,
