Wii stuck on update page (update to 1.9g BETA)

Just got a copy of super Mario Galaxy and found out I needed to update the firmware on my wii. I went through all the steps but my wii is now stuck on the update screen (It is still updating as I write this)

Here is what I did. (Pal version of game)

downloaded update
burned bootdisc.pal to disc
updated wii
updated wiikey firmware with disc
put smg into wii
started upgrade

and the progress bar flew straight to the end and has been there ever since.

Did I do this in a bad order?
If so. If my wiikey now ^&$%&*$%ed?
