hi i have a "fat" psp with firmware 3.30 and would like to know what i need to do first in order to change/downgrade my firmware etc for running iso's

sorry to make you all repeat yourselves however im a little confused after reading so many threads and none have a straight forward answer to my situation.

also whilst googling i noticed there is a new fimware upgrade from homebrew and am curious if this is what i should be looking at installing or not?
