hi can anyone help i,ve just updated my fat psp to version 3.52.m33-3 and want to update it to the latest version which i think is v3.71.m33-2
How do i do it and also is there any need to do it as all the games i've got so far play on 3.52 m33-3.

You should do it because it's the latest firmware and it's not 3.71 M33-2, it's 3.71 M33-3.

ok so how do i update it to 3.71 MM3-3 please and is there a risk

It can't brick your PSP.

First, you need to install and download 3.71 M33 from HERE.

Then, you need to install and download the 3.71 M33-3 patch from HERE.

Note that the patch installation is nothing like installing 3.71 M33. It's a lot easier.

thanks for the advice but Im a bit of a novice does the update come with instructions how to install it.

If possible a step by step guide to updating from 3.52M33-3 to 3.71M33-3, Also I don,t understand about the 1.5 kernal and how to install it, like I said before I'm a bit of novice and a bit worried I might mess up the PSP thats working perfect on version 3.52M33-3

hi thanx again for the guide. the guide tells me to copy the UPDATE directory into/PSP/GAME/UPDATE but there is no folder called UPDATE in the GAME folder what do I do.and it tells me to download 2 files which one do I use first the 3.71 M33 or the 3.71 update file.?I'm sure if I don't get this right I'll brick it

create the folder UPDATE inside GAME

you use the 3.71M33 it pulls the information it needs from the 3.71update (DO NOT RUN THE OFW FILE)

im also nwebie with this PSP mine is Slim and running at 3.71 m33-3 but i think i semi bricked my psp because i flash without using recovery mode and after that i cannot save or load game save when trying to that is crash some games still works but only few. before i can play all the games without crashing i just want to asked you if it is possible to reinstall my firmware to 3.71 m33-3 again Thanks for you in advance....

You need the recovery files. Search the forum for guides.

my psp is a 3.03 oec, wld like to know if Installing 3.52 Custom Firmware on an OE, is my ver alright to follow these steps shown?

[color=red]Installing 3.52 Custom Firmware on an OE or a M33 PSP:


o Copy the folder 'M33CREATOR' to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME150/' on your PSP's memory stick.
o Download the official 3.52 update: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1209 and rename to 352.PBP.
o Copy the 352.PBP to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME150/M33CREATOR/' on your PSP's memory stick.
o Download the official 1.50 update: http://rapidshare.com/files/67857715/163_EBOOT_1.50.zip and rename to 150.PBP.
o Copy the 150.PBP to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME150/M33CREATOR/' on your PSP's memory stick.
o Execute '3.52 M33 CREATOR' under GAME on your PSP.
o Then execute '3.52 M33UPDATE' under GAME on your PSP.
o Once finished, press X.
o Have fun on 3.52 Custom Firmware!
