So, I have heard that every once in a while Sony will release a game that installs the latest official firmware. Is there a chance that a game will overwrite custom firmware, undoing much of my hard work?
And is there a way to keep me (or my friend) from accidentally doing this? (I just barely remember about one that fakes your firmware version to 9.99, preventing updates... is this the best way?)

Oh and FYI Sony can't make you upgrade even if they wanted to. You have to agree to it. Id still recommend getting the app just in case your lil bro or w/e upgrades it accidentally. (this happened to me xD)

Don't worry - this has been extensively tested by Team t0c and they confirm that UMD games and homebrew all function correctly after running this just like nothing ever happened to your PSP. If you have firmware 3.03OE-C, 3.10OE-A and A' or 2.71SE-C then you can use this plugin as all have been tested and confirmed to function correctly.
Can you use this even if your FW is not the ones above?...

I believe he was asking the question... "Can you use this even if your FW is not the ones above?... "
I would like to know the answer also. I have 3.71M33-3

BTFan this is what I'm talking about cause I found in the program description .... So I'm just wondering if you could use it even though your firmware is not the ones listed...

Yes you can. I think that plugin was made when 3.71 M33 wasn't availble yet, when 3.10 OE-A was teh latest but I'm sure you can. Try it, it won't brick.
