Hi guys i really need help asap. i have to get my friend a psp slim with 3.71 M33 before he leaves (this WEDNESDAY). I tried making the battery while following larrylje's guide (Click here to see the guide I used my phat psp which runs 3.40 oe-a to make my pandora battery
When i went through the step where i install the files using the pandora program by Hellcat, and then installed the msipl and exited my psp said it cant read memory stick. I then went and formatted it and continued with the rest of the steps (mistake). I then tried to load it and it didnt work, i used that same program and restored by battery back to normal and then tried the whole process all over again, and this time i didnt install msipl, and went through with everything else, but when i put the mem stick in my slim psp and then the pandora battery into slim psp, and turned the slim psp on. THE SCREEN IS BLACK AND NOTHING HAPPENS. THE POWER LIGHT IS GREEN BUT THE MEM STICK LIGHT IS NOT FLASHING
PLEASE HELP ME

Press the brightness button and see what happens. If the screen doesn't light up you might have semi-bricked your PSP...

Ooohh then the battery wasn't turned back to normal properly! Not a brick! OK..ok..
You have to run the UPMS installer and use "install fake serial" or "restore eeprom.bin" (use "restore eeprom.bin" only if you backed up your eeporm before making the Pandora's Battery).
Any judging by the previous post of mine, is your memory stick duo fake?

Sure thing: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580254
The installer is in step 5 under "Before you get started, you will need:"
Click on where it says "HERE".
Once you download it, create a folder in CAPS called ISO in the root of your PSP so that it looks like this:
X:/ISO/(the upms installer goes here)
X = your Memory Stick Duo's drive letter.
The UPMS installer is like you said in CSO format.

Oh so if you backed up the eeprom.bin then just select "Restore eeprom.bin" from the installer in step two.

No, just copy the CSO to the ISO folder in the root of your PSP. Then turn your PSP on normally and go to the MS icon under Game and the upms installer'll be there

Are you sure you followed these steps accordingly to open your PSP Slim directly to the UPMS installer?:

->Now hold L and insert your Pandora Battery.
->Release L when the MS light or screen flashes.

The ultimate Pandora box installer (THE MOST SIMPLIEST ONE OUT THERE)
I?m a complete knob with the PSP, I was introduced this from a friend and I highly recommended it to everyone, this is the most simplest Pandora Battery installer you will find anywhere, it solves all my problems from not knowing anything about the psp to making into a cfw homebrew enabled psp. I can promise you that this will save you a lot of time, especially if your knob. This will work for Fat PSP and slim. Unbricking/Downgrading
Enjoy
