Hey guys, ive heard that there is a drive out there that's flashed for a PC and is capable of ripping; lets say a purchased copy of a game to your PC then after to a backup disc. This intrigues me because it seems like i would skip the whole downloading part of games =)
If anybody could tell me the name of the drive or even better a place where i can buy one, i would love you all dearly =)
oh yeah i forgot to ask if there are any good links for directions on how this is done, i bet theres one in here somewhere but honestly i dont know where to look =/ any help would rock!!!
No problem man, I was in ur same shoes like 3 weeks ago, fed up with the newsgroup crap and didn't feel like opening a drive up to trade out the game disk (WXripper method). Thank goodness I saw Steimy's post about itIt's easy man, once u get ur flashed Samsung (just ebay it, I got mine for $75 with shipping, drfrankq was the seller). You then will use Schtrom to extract the file, its simple, it dumps the data to the PC, and then you burn the ISO with imgburn. I'll help you dude once you get your drive, don't worry man,it will be fine. Ive made like 70 backups so far and it works easy as pie.
just got my drive in today and im tryin to learn how to use it now, doesnt look like much of a problem but if i encounter any ill be sure to post...thanks again guys!
i just got an error message saying something about a sector that couldnt be read with schtrom v3.2...
it said that it was normal on a xbox1 disc but not with a xbox360 disc and asked if i would like to continue with the extract leaving a sector equaling zero.
if anybody could tell me whta that means, if its normal or if i need to tweak some settings i would love ya!
