What drive speed do you think i should set me xbox on with the Benq multispeed firmware.
I was thinking 5x and burn my discs at 2.4x, anyone doing the same, or anyone recommened a speed?

If you're going to use Verbatim DVD+R DL discs, then I'd use the default 12x FW. If you notice it sounds too loud for your tastes, then try the 8x one. My Elite BenQ is more quiet with the 12x than either my Samsung MS28 or Hitachi 59DJ used to be.

Yeah cool, im used to quiet consoles as my Ps3 is so quiet, yeah im using 2.4x verbatim dvd+r dl discs, how loud do you find the 12x?

Less loud than any other drives default speed xtreme (ixtreme fw)

Even with the 12x, still less loud than Samsung/Hitachis for me anyway.
