Hi folks, some probs with p.c

On Startup I get as far as entering my password for my own profile, after i enter my desktop fails to load for between 5 - 10 mins, with a black screen showing for that time. Once in my desktop I recieve error messages like: Host Process for windows services has stopped working and will be closed & Config Free (TM) Tray has stopped working.....etc.

It's a Toshiba notebook and is usually fine, running a wireless network, no probs until now. Very slow and almost unusable. Tried a system restore which couldnt complete and when i try to run a virus scan, it stops working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
