Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but since this is the one I come to any time I have troubles copying my DVD's I will try it here because someone always has the answer.

I have some DVD's that I would like to get a screen capture from. I've tried to pause at the point I want and then the CTRL PRINT SCREEN command, which always works web browsing, but when I paste it to Adobe Photoshop it comes out a black screen.

Anyone know how I can capture a DVD/Multimedia file screen to then be used as a picture?

Screen Capture doesn't work with Overlay video modes. Most decent DVD playing software has a capture command available (at least Power DVD and VLC do) so you may have to RTFM and use the players 'capture' function. Or you can shut off video acceleration and use the PRINT SCREEN command.
