After Wiikey Install - Power On Does Not Work

I just installed my wiikey and put the system back together, plugged in and saw the standby light come on. I got happy.

then i pressed power, light turned green dvd tray light up blue for a second, then everything went dark.

so i unplugged the power, plugged it back in, same result.

I took the system back apart to check things over. When i remove the dvd drive, the wii will boot up just fine. Attach it again, and it loses power.

Any ideas?

nevermind i found the problem! i bent the prongs on the power connector to the drive. they were pushed all the way down, so i guess they were shorting it out. all fixed now! yay!
