There are some videos that show the cd spindle tool in action. I tried to make one too, but it was too flimsy and couldn't provide enough support. I used a small, precision screwdriver that was a little less wide than the holes and it worked for me. It also help to use your other hand and fingers to sort of push apart both side while you do this to encourage the case to seperate. When you use the screwdriver you might have to push harder than you think, but still be careful. It freaked me out at first but they started popping apart once I pushed enough.

Get the professional opening tool from ebay only about £6, i got stuck on that bit and i kinda damaged them, hopefully when the tool arrives it will still open up.
Do you have the falcon board. The thing that bothers me is that its clear mine has been tampered with so if i get RROD as im sure i dont have the falcon, i cant send it in as its really obivious that ive opened it. And how can you invest in a new tab would you need a new 360 case?
