I have bought a control card and have put it into my computer. My question is if I am suppose to install the drivers for the card. Please reply as to I am flashing it today. Thanks to all that reply w/help.

by "control card" i assume you mean the pci sata card with the via 6421 chipset. yes, you do have to install the drivers...just make sure you don't install the "raid" portion of the drivers.

thanks. I will have to uninstall the drivers then since when I got my computer fix I had the person put the card in and he loaded the drivers. I will just ininstall and reinstall it w/o the raid drivers. I also see a prop for that when I turn on my computer, but just let it keep running.

i've also heard that you want to make sure the raid is "turned off" on your PCs BIOS. so make sure to do that also. goodluck.

but if I dont install the raid driver part then it shouldnt show up in the bios right.
