I thought I'd get a "what if" thought out of my head and get an answer.

I realize trying to downgrade/upgrade a PSP can sometimes brick a PSP, but what other ways can one get bricked? i.e. bad/fake battery?, pressing the wrong buttons in sequence?, fake/bad memory stick?, playing with it (PSP) in the bathtub? etc... I know some of those are goofy examples, but I have a pre-teen daughter I'm giving mine to and I was looking for things that I should watch out for.

Well dropping a brick on it will just mess up the hardware...But it would bake it essentially a brick since that means make it as useful as a brick!

Try taking out the battery, plugging in the AC adapter, upgrading or downgrading, then during the sequence....OOPS. Unplug it.

But for this to work you got to film it and put it on Youtube then link me to it. =]

Flashing PSP (Flash0 etc)

Flashing the NAND of a different PSP into your PSP will create an unbrickable PSP.

Running dodgy firmware etc
