I've been going crazy trying to figure this out
i created a service battery by lifting a pin in the battery
and every worked i went from my OFW to custom 3.71 m33
all i want to do is whatever i have to do to get
homebrew stuff working.
and like everything i tried leads to a corrupt data error
or once the game starts to start it stops goes black
and i get a data error
what the heck is going on do i need to do anything
to anything
and what exactly is your flash cuz i want to custom my xmb
and the read me talks about my flash
how do i acces that
should i acccess that
can i switch up my xmb with out messing with it
please help
im still new at all this
so go slow and describe everything in detail

It's easy to replace themes. It's usally in the readme.


Flash is the internal PSP memory. DO NOT DELETE IT!

To access it, go in Recovery Mode>Advanced>Toggle USB <Flash0>

If you have a PSP SLIM 3.71 M33 then you need to make sure your downloading PSP SLIM compatible Homebrew.

If you have a PSP FAT 3.71 M33 then download the 1.50 ADD ON-2 and install it to enable 1.50 homebrew capabilities on your PSP. You can get the 1.50 ADD ON-2 HERE if you haven't installed it and have a PSP FAT.

You also might want to update to 3.71 M33-3 which you can download HERE. Just extract the download and drag the UPDATE folder to the /PSP/GAME folder and run the 3.71 M33-3 update via Game Menu Memory Stick. It only takes a few seconds to apply the update.

There are 2 kinds of custom XMB for 3.71 M33...

1) PTF files which go into the THEMES folder on the PSP Memory Stick and selected under the THEME settings in the XMB.

2) Themes that can be flashed to flash0. If your using these types of themes make sure your using a 3.71 M33 compatible theme. Also go HERE and follow the steps on how to access and backup the Flash0 properly. Once you have backed up the flash0 drag the custom files included in the custom XMB to its corresponding places in the flask0.

it sounds alot easier

i have 3.71 m33-3

i dont know i have the 1.5 add on

and could you helpe me install the universal remote?

and one more thing
what exactly is ir shell?

Go to the recovery menu by holding R when you turn on your PSP. Then go to Configuration and check if the the Kernel is at 1.50, of its not change it by pressing X.

hi Frens

i have been pspying for the last 3 years or so and i had finally decided to change my OE to 3.71 m33-2. PHAT one

Ok my prob is i did dwld the games from the psp hacks and i did wat i have to. dwld.rar -> extract -> place into PSP/GAME

and i switch on, to the game folder, (there is the icon of the game example 'mario' run it and the psp logo is up but few second later the error of 80221212 etc came up....

can any kind soul help me on these or even better list out on how to insert new themes or games e.t.c?

if i am not mistaken in my recovery mode i have 2 folder for the homebrew to run in.. 3.71 and 1.50 kernel
and currently it is @ 3.71 kernel.

set the kernel to 1.5 n put in GAME n then if not workin try GAME150 with 1.5 kernel.

well 1st i suggest u to update to 3.71M33-3 .....n then backup your flash0 using this guide - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/571640

u do know how to go to flash0 n replaces the files in it dont u??
