Well, for the people who have NO idea what Linux is, Linux is a <FREE> Operating System that works just like Windows. AND the best part is you can use it on your PS3! There are many guides out there that tell you how to get Linux on your PS3.

Ive seen so many guides and stickies that I dont know which one to start with. Im also confused with linux and "yellow dog"? Can you give me the best guide avaialable? I searched everywhere and found many but dont know which one to follow. thanks

Yellow Dog is a version/type of Linux that you can install on your PS3. You can also install Ubuntu Feisty Fawn on you PS3. These are different types of Linux that appeal to different users.
