is this possible?
i have UPMS, and i can emulate version 1.50 full.
but ive heard somewhere that you can make the UPMS boot to m33 firmware too.
this way i can keep my 3.52m33, and also reap the benefits of 3.71m33-3!!!! or maybe even emulate version 3.73.....
this way i can have locationfree!!!!
possible?
thanks in advance.

Yup, in step three in UPMS, there is an option for 3.71 M33-2 upgrade and if you own a FAT PSP, a 1.50 kernel add-on. If you select that/those, your UPMS Pandora's Battery will autmatically upgrade to what you selected.
There's also 3.52 M33 but 3.71 M33-2 is th best. Then when you're finished you can manually upgrade to 3,71 M33-3.

thanks dude.
but that wasnt what i meant. i was talking bout the ability to boot firmware straight off the memory stick. (right now i can boot only 1.50)
but i heard SOMEWHERE that you could emulate ANY firmware with UPMS...
but still though, thanks for the reply! :)

That's what I meant, in the UPMS installer, you can choose wether it will upgrade automatically to 1.50, 3.52 M33-4 or 3.71 M33-2. All this is in step 3. I'm talking about the installer availble for guide in this guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580254

Quote: ** boot to a full 1.50 from Mem Stick (Phat Only)
THIS is what i mean.
your EMULATING the firmware by having a .BIN backup of the NAND files from the 1.50 EBOOT file. the firmware isnt running from the Flash0 but is running from the actual MEMORY STICK. (like the stick is acting as the flash, instead of the flash)
you know?
so you basically have TWO or even more firmwares available at once. (on memory stick)
i dont mean choosing updates and downgrades.
but thanks though! sorry for the misunderstanding! :)

OK, now I UNDERSTAND what YOU mean. I do NOT think that what YOU are trying to DO is POSSIBLE -ge the POINT?!
Running a second firmware isn't like running a homebrew app, you need the computer for many things. That's why there's no need to go to another firmware when you have 3.71 M33-2 at your feet.

UPMS installs needed files to make the psp run a certain firmware. If you want to emulate a firmware then use devhook. I dont see any reason why you would want to do that any way.
Quote: im not sure if this is helpful but I think using the pandoras battery you can boot up to about 5 different firmwares
http://exophase.com/psp/multi-boot-loade...leased-2038.htm
that is for a dual boot pandora battery. Holding L when powering PSP takes you to the Pandora Menu. Power on the PSP normally and you go to the XMB.
