Ok, i did a little research and frankly am a bit lost right now, so ill start questioning

1. Is the PSP slim moddable using the pandoras battery made from the fat PSP battery thru fat PSP CFW (battery 1800mah)

2. Can the slim (1200mah) battery be modded thru fat psp CFW?

3. Can the slim (1200mah) battery be hardmodded by removing 5th pin?

4. Do all batteries work or only batteries made in china? (IE. Japanese made batteries do not work)

5. Will I not be able to see anything on the screen of the psp when i insert the pandoras battery with memory stick?

6. Can the Fat and the Slim hardmodded pandoras battery be reverted back into a regular battery? and how?

7. What effect does a fake MS or battery have on modding (both soft and hard modding)

8. Is the PSP slim brickable or not? Can it be unbricked?

1) Yes
2) Yes, treied it myself
3) I don't think so
4) Are you sure Japanese batteries don't work or did you experience that from eBay only?
5) You have to turn on your PSP in a different way in order to see the screen
6) Nope, but they can be charged
7) It just plainly won't work
8) It can brick and is unbrickable

All the info is based on the guide for UPMS [rul=http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/580254]HERE[/url].

Well Sony batteries work for Pandora's Battery.

But eBay usually gives fake batteries especially sellers from Hong Kong.

about the japanese batteries:

the new pandora-proof batteries are made in japan.. thats why it cannot be converted to a jig kick battery

but i do not rule out that there are older batteries that can be made jig kicked that are "made in japan"

but as of now.. "made in japan" are USUALLY the ones that are pandora proof

noob,

Only the part when you said the battery that came with your PSP isn't Pandora's Battery proof. But the batteries with no name are made in China and don't work as Pandora's Battery.

Not all Made In China batteries are real. The batteries without a brand are made in China and are fake as in they won't work as a Pandora's Battery.

No, that's what you don't understand, the batteries without a brand are "Made in China" and can't be turned to a Pandora's Battery! I have one myself.

Yes, as long as it says Sony (and you bought it from a store, not the internet).

I saw a picture of a hard modded slim batt on psp-hacks. I think it had a jumper soldered on it as well as the cut pin. When I downgraded my sons slim to 3.71m33-3 last week nothing showed on the screen. If you are a competent solderer and leave yourself something to work with, you might be able to solder it back. Those micro chips wont take heat but for a few seconds. You might be beter off soldering a micro switch in.

I never trust YouTube since the time I had 2.81 and the dowgrader wasn't out yet so on YouTube a guy "downgraded it" but by reading the comments I understood he had two PSPs. He then admited it was right.

By the way, here's the page from MaxConsole: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=75986

It's ok you don't trust youtube.....
It's only one person who made that one...
And some people in youtube aren't like the person who you watched...
They are helping you and trying to make a good quality video and then upload it to youtube just to help the people who needs them... Cause you know writen guides are hard to follow sometimes.. and they make a video for life to be more easier ....
SO DON'T SAY THAT AGAIN...

Wow, YouTube can help a lot, yes, but when I see someone doing something that is said that isn't possible, I won't believe them 100%. I never said YouTube sucks or what not.

Anyways, I provided the link to the thread about compatible batteries if you need it. It was useful to me.
