hi the i read quite a few times that lots of people have got half bricked wii's, i also read someone saying that they think if you update your wii with a newly released game it may fix the problem and it did.

i bricked mine on super paper mario and fixed it with super mario galaxy which i got from www.torrentz. com file name Super.Mario.Galaxy.PAL.Wii-WiiZARD.[SpatorrenT.CoM]
hope this helps out some people as its helped me alot

its now 3.0e but doing the update the game has reconised that i have my wii chipped (when i put SMG in)) and wont let me play that game so im gona try and down load another new game and see if its only that 1 that is the problem as all my old games iv already got still work

Well, I do not know the mod chip you are using...I Have Wiinja Deluxe and in order to run SMG I needed the last update from Wiinja, Version 4 (Fixed) so just look for the last update for your mod chip.

It does not recognize that your Wii is chipped but that the DVD is not an Original on, but a Copy.

i cant get into my wii bt i thought i had a wiikey but when i put the update cd in it failed halfway through so i think i may have a fake wiikey

iv downloaded mario and sonic olympics and the new resident evil game and both the games work just not SMG

Are you saying that that Super.Mario.Galaxy.PAL.Wii-WiiZARD.[SpatorrenT.CoM] is a reliable PAL version of the game? Also, did you half-brick your Wii on using an NTSC version of Super Paper Mario?

I do not recall the version of mario...just that it was PAL and it unbricked my WII - it's version 3.1E now. Previously with Metriod Prime 3 NTSC it got bricked - version 3.1U.
