with my psp at the moment i have offical fimware 2.71 but have downgraded it so i can also use it as firmware 1.50. At the moment i use devhook version 0.46. this allows me to play iso as it can emulate 2.71 firmware. i have downloaded an iso game recently and when i tried to play it with devhook it said i need to upgrade to firmware 3.71. Does anyone know a way i can get a new devhook or othere emulator that can emulate firmware 3.71 with instructons on how to do it?

If I understand correctly you have a PSP that has 1.50 firmware. You run Devhook to emulate 2.71 firmware so you can play PSP games that require 2.71 firmware or higher. There is no Devhook/Emulator that will Emulate 3.71 firmware. You will need to install 3.71 custom firmware.

Just make sure your at 1.50 firmware and not 2.71 firmware. Do this by going into System Settings then System Information and look under System Software.

If you have 2.71 listed then you need to downgrade to 1.50 firmware. If it says 1.50 then follow the directions below.

If you have 1.50 firmware on the PSP then go HERE and update to 3.52 M33-4 (This is a requirement to install 3.71 M33-3).

After you have updated to 3.52 M33-4 go HERE and update to 3.71 M33-2 + 1.50 ADD ON-2.

Now go HERE and download the 3.71 M33-3 update and extract the file. Drag the UPDATE folder to the /PSP/GAME folder and run the 3.71 M33-3 update via Game Menu Memory Stick (This only takes a few seconds).

You are now updated to the latest M33 custom firmware with 1.50 ADD ON-2. You now can now format your memory Stick so new folder directories can be created.

Go HERE and follow these steps to get your ISO/CSO PSP games working properly.

1.50 kernel homebrew goes in the /PSP/GAME150 folder.

2.XX or higher homebrew goes into the /PSP/GAME folder.
