I'm using PSPvideo9 (2.25) and i have a video thats in MKV format, but has soft subs (ie. subttitles arnt printed directly on the video, just overlayed ontop) and I was wondering if anyone knows how to perhaps convert it to PSP format to include the subtitle when playing
(if u ask why i want this and not listenning by ear, its because its an asian movie with english subs and i dont know chinese)

well i dont know how to convert the subtitles with it rather, like its all jsut an mkv file with a trigger subs on/off button in WMP. by normal converting, it converts the movie but not the subs, so when i play it on psp, no subs

they are in the movie, like theres only 1 file, and the subs are included in that file(which is MKV), but they are not hardcoded into the video(IE edited toplace the subs inside the movie so that when the movie plays, they will be part of the movie and cannot be removed cause it is now part of the video frame), they are just overlayed ontop of the video where u can trigger to turn the subs on and off

select goes back to main menu with the video paused in background
edit: actually i tested the converted video on the computer, subs nowhere to be seen, option to turn it on is gone, so i take it that inital conversion didnt convert the subs with it... so know how to convert subs with video?

well im using v 2.25, none of the subtitle settings options are there, and from what i see, its just take the video file and convert without doing anything, which is what i did before that gave me no subs

ok heres what i did
1. open pspvideo9
2. select file to convert (single mkv file that contains the sub inside)
3. changed profile to one of the preset fw3.30+ 480x272
4. convert
5.upload to psp
6.play, no subtitle trigger option on psp
also its not a dvd file either, the subs are enabled thru a series of codecs on my computer, mostly ffdshow, haali media splitter, and directvobsub. they all work together to play this single video
lastly, i should say its basically a raw footage video normally found in AVI, but fangroups added subtitles to it and re-released it as MKV with the subtitles on it
