do a search on the "textbook tutorial" and you will find a pdf that walks you through, step by step, how to update the firmware.

Hi All.

I was wondering if anybody has had this problem.

I have an original 3120l 2005 0047DJ drive.
Blaster 360 NE
VIA SATA Controller with 6421 chipset. Works great for Samsung, & BenQ drives.

I use the blaster 360 on many other drives and it works but
when I put this drive in Mode B None of my applications see the drive.

The firmware in the drive has never been altered.

Windows XP SP2 does not recognize the drive either.

Is there an all in one program that will create a bootable USB thumb drive and install the correct drivers to activate 6421 card?

There are some many tutorials out there but I have not seen any info on this problem...

Any help would be appreciated.

On another note. What is the best way to UNBRICK a different 3120l 47dj that I cannot find the orig.bin file for?

What more could you ask for? Oh yea a bigger screen...
Now thats a big screen. (Check out this gaming setup) http://www.thebestproducts2u.com/bigscreen.htm

Finally fixed it.

My bios for the motherboard was not recognizing the SATA cable.
I cleared my cmos settings and it saw the drive on first reboot.

With and without the blaster 360 NE.

Strange thing though. I still cannot see the drive when it is connected to the 6421 SATA PCI card. Am I missing something? What do I have to do to activate the SATA 0 port on the card from DOS or windows. When the drive is not connected to the card the WinBlows drivers load fine. When the 3120l is connected to the port the 6421 card shows up with the yellow ! in device manager..
Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

When I connected the drive to the Motherboard the drive flashed without any problems and works great.
