okay, so i made a bootable USB thumb-drive with iprep 101.06 (the latest version) i chose to patch the mtkflash, make bootable, and selected the xtreme 1.3A 12X firmware for my Samsung ms25 drive. i disconnected all drives except for the via 6421A pci + 360 ms25 dvd-rom connected to it (XTREME). the nfo with iprep said to use the "iDump" and "iFlash" commands, there were no such commands, but "dSam" and "fSam" seemed to do the job. anyway during the on screen selections i followed along accordingly but before i ever got a chance to "press 1 (for when selecting XTREME)", it was already finished with the successful screen, telling me that i was ready to run the "fSam" command to flash the dvd-rom. well, i rebooted and power cycled my 360, then when i went to flash it ("fSam"),it did the same thing, telling me i successfully flashed the drive. i never turned off the 360 except for when i power cycled. i put everything back together and loaded a dvd movie and all is good with no errors or red lights. i was wondering if anyone else has flashed a 360 without the power on and off tricks?
well i got a promblem but not like yours mines that i start the boot on a usb i put the dsam and my serial this shows up
This will create a folder for that particular xbox 360 , read the original firmware (as sam-ofw.bin ) and create a modified firmware ( as sam-cfw.bin ).
If sam-ofw.bin for that xbox 360 already exists THE PROCESS IS ABORTED
when i flashed my last two benqs i couldnt power off the 360 before doing fben. if i did it would automatically start writing the FW to it, so i just left it on and all was good.
