All codes for Grandia 3 just not working

To start, I have a gameshark V4, and I busted out Grandia 3 out of nostalgia. First, I converted some codebreaker codes for some specific pieces of equipment, no go. (Cb2crypt->maxconvert (raw to Gsv3-4).
Secondly, I tried using converted AR max codes. Again, no go. Third try, I attempted to use by the book Gameshark V4 codes from the Gameshark website. Nothing. At all.

The codes are accepted, but simply nothing happens. I tested booting up Star Ocean III with codes on, and it worked. I've seen nothing that hints anyone is having any such problem. Does anyone have any ideas? I have nothing.
