How to prevent someone from updating by mistake...

What can I do to prevent someone (my son or his friends) from updating the PSP when thet install a UMD. I read on here about disabling that option with a patch but I can't seem to find it anywhere now. Any idea's or is it not a good idea to do?

Unless u are using custom firmware, get the Antiupdate plugin

for the slim psp (newer ... and "slimmer")
