Am I Banned? How Do I Know?

This is my brief story..

I had flashed my Xbox 360 to play backups, my Flash Firmware is from March 2007, I played with no problems, ever.

Back when I heard the Spring Update was coming, a week later before it was released, I unplugged the internet cable from the Xbox 360.
Since then the Xbox 360 was NEVER plugged with the cable, ever again, and since that happens, I, since a week before the Spring update came out, tried connecting to Live.

The problem is that when I bought newer games like Madden 08, the game forces you to install updates, and via Madden 08 disk, the Spring Update was installed in my Xbox 360, this game was a backup.

While having this Spring Updated box, I have been playing both, backups and originals, but never even tried to log to Live, or even connect the internet cable.

I figured that I don't know how to do it on my own, I don't have the skills, so I would have to pay to somebody to do it.

Now, I'm doubtful, should I re-flash? Am I banned?

I'm concerned that if I re-flash with the newer versions, and log to Live, I'll get banned because I've been playing backups, even while offline.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Dude i just made a post thats answers your question (originals on live) the only way you can find out is by actually logging in to xbox live to see if your banned :|. I would also advise you upgrade to a newever firmware if your still not banned.

As already said.. try logging in, and if it fails phone them.. They will ask you for your account details. If you are on hold after that for more than 20 minutes you banned ;-)

Don't quote me on this... reading things over at X-S it seems that M$ have come up with a way of querying the drive firmware version.

I understand, but if I try to log in, I will surely get banned right there if I'm not now, because it has an old flash firmware and a new System Update.

But what I mean is that maybe there's a chance I wasn't banned, so I won't risk my 'clear' state by logging in now...

If you are banned you are were already banned long ago and there's nothing you can do about it now. It's a pretty common belief everyone who was banned the 1st time around was marked for banning months before the Spring update. Just go ahead and see if you can connect to Live. If you aren't banned go ahead and flash it up to ixtreme 1.4.

And what if I'm not banned right now.

Wouldn't I get banned instantly if I try to log in with this firmware?

no. they can't read your firmware... yet just plug it in and see. take any game out then update. you should be safe
