I have an original launch day wii, it is very well cared for and has a wiikey installed in it. the wiikey is at 1.9g and the firmware is 3.1U ntsc. I have over 50 wii games backed up on to dvd-r discs. I never had a bad burn or anything. Not bragging just been fortunate. my concern is that ever since the 1.9g update and the SMG update every now and then I have been getting the DRE errors to eject game and power off wii so i do and then its ok. What is the deal is it something with the wiikey and the 1.9g? does anyone else have this problem? I love my wii and want to keep it in top notch shape.

What do you mean thats normal? The DRE after the 1.9g update??? Im not the only one? Is this bad for my wii?

Is that when you start up the game or during gameplay? If that's when you try to boot up the game then that's normal, if it's during gameplay then it could be with your media.

Yeah my Wiikey is 1.9g and it sometimes does that. It once even did the SMG error but I tried again and it worked. Remember that this is still a beta so Wiikey might release a more stable version.
