Hell yeah you can F it up, I've seen a ton of internet posts from people who have tried to flash their system and totalled F-ed it up. That's why you should research it and see if you think you could do it, and if not, let someone else do it (what I did).

Seriously... lol ..yes you can mess up during flashing the firmware.most common thing is that your drive will not copy the key to the hacked firmware leaving your 360 console bricked which means you will not be able to play origonals or backups.after finding that you bricked it there is a away to get it working again.you would have to get a orig.bin then copy your key to that and then reflash. there are many guides out there for different models . make sure you read them and study it for a while. make a copy of the guide sinse your pc will not be able to view the guide when flashing.. if you have a benq or samsung drive i would go with the iprep method :)
