Hi everyone. I'm new to AfterDawn.
I'm from the Dark Alex era and haven't been keeping updated with all the new stuff since OE's
I have a "fat" psp with 3.40 OE-A firmware and have no clue what Pandora or M33 is.
It would be greatly appreciated if someone could update me and tell me how to get the latest firmware and the pandora battery (if that's what it is).

M33 is a new type of firmware that has pretty much replaced OE firmwares. The newest being 3.71m33 update-3. A Pandora Battery is a battery that unbricks your PSP AND downgrades your firmware to 1.50! You can probably find all the files and info you need in all the sticked topics here. I still have a few questions and stuff that i didn't quite get...
How can you get the psp back to version 1.50 from a custom firmware (3.40 oe-a)?
If someone could just give me a really short explaination I'd probably be able to figure everything else out.
Also could i get a link pointing me in the direction of the pandora stuff and how to make one?

I found what I was looking for.

if you have 3.40 OE you dont need to go back to 1.5
see this guide

first install 3.52m33 then install update 4 then you will have 3.52m33-4
only then you can go to 3.71m33 and then 3.71m33-3 then you will be up to date

I think M33 is a Team... Not dark_alex alone...
BUt team M33 includes dark_alex..

DaX's last creation was 3.71M33-3.

A guy called _XHellDashX_(i think) took over the job of creating CFW. HellDash has created 3.72HX-2 and we're expecting a 3.73HX-1 very soon.

Oh boy... another CFW to upgrade to... to top SONY's OFW 3.73 ..hehe...
But I'm sure some people won't upgrade to it yet.. cause you know just released versions are quite buggy like 3.71 M33 for example on it's first release many people have bricks when on 3.71 M33 but then update 2 and 3 came and it became stable... :)
