Hay guys i really need some help. i flashed my 360(hitachi 059) last night with ixtreme 1.2rev2 and i thought it went ok. after making backups with the samsung 162 d, using xbc v2.7, and img burn i discovered the 360 would freeze up either booting or after brief game play.i used memorex instead of verbatim d.l.'S and assumed that was the problem but i just tried to play originals of tiger woods 08 and the orange box and got the same thing. am i screwed? Should i reflash original fw? im freaking out, i cant afford another 360 + i just spent 70 dollars on verbatims like 20 minutes before i discovered this. any info would be sooooo appretiated.
I got this with Assassins creed, play fine then when booting up freezes on a black screen then the 360 makes loud noises, try cleaning your discs or maybe it was a bad burn, you might have to flash to orig.bin and do it all again.
now im intermittantly getting the rrod. im so confused, have you heard of this happening after a possible bad flash. ive been reading threads and it sounds like ms sometimes fixes flashed 360's but it sounds like a role of the dice.thanks for the reply.
wow thanks for the link i never even knew about that.looks like im getting 0102-g.p.u. error :( do you think i did this during the flash somehow or is it just bad timing that it happened after i flashed? any thoughts on what to do now? thanks so much for the help.
that exact same error happened to me last sunday i fixed it yest by doing the "eraser fix" this error comes out without a warning so its not related to the flashing
hmmm, that penny trick seems pretty ghetto and im not real sure i wanna tear it apart that much. im debating sending it back to ms even though its voided. ive been reading that they dont look into it too much. my original warrenty sticker is still in piece but it looks crappy. any thought or experiances?
i guess your right- i dont have much to lose at this point. you mentioned you used the "eraser trick", is that the same as the penny trick? does the penny trick work for a good amount of time or is it temp like the towel thing? thanks so much for all the info- this is such a pain!
eraser fix is same process as penny fix but the penny fix is better since its copper it helps with the heat also it has the perfect height etc the person that "discovered" the penny trick revealed it 11 months after using it so its reliable i guess
elokito your the best man! i tried it and it worked. the tutorial said not to put the 8 little black screws in over the the cpu and gpu so i got a 0011 error but once i put them back in it was good to go! my backups of bioschock and area 51 seem to play fine along with my originals. backup of fightnight wont play but considering where i was this morning i cant complain.thanks again man, you saved the day
