You have 2 choices.

Do it manually or do it with a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick.

The safest and easiest way is creating a Pandora battery and Universal unbricker V3 which will install 3.71 M33-2 straight to your PSP. For those steps go HERE and follow the directions.

If you want to do it manually then follow the below steps...

Go HERE to go from 3.51-7 M33 to 3.52 M33-4 (This is a requirement before going to 3.71 M33)

After you have updated to 3.52 M33-4 go HERE to update to 3.71 M33-2 + 1.50 ADD ON-2.

After you have done 1 of the above choices and your at 3.71 M33-2 go HERE and download the 3.71 M33-3 update. Extract the file and drag the UPDATE folder to the /PSP/GAME folder and run the update under Game Menu Memory Stick (This only takes a few seconds).

You are now at the latest M33 firmware.

I tried all of these things, the first one (manual) didnt work. The second (Pandora) just told me that I needed version 2.71 or higher when I ran the "Despertar del Cementero" file. Any other suggestions, thanks for your help by the way.

Is there a place I can take my PSP and get it unblocked instead of using another one and the Pandora battery, like a market or something, I know in Victoria, the Laverton market has a guy that upgrades PSP's, he may also unbrick them.

So you have installed the SLIM PSP to 3.71 M33 custom firmware?

The reason you are getting the game cannot start error is because the program your using to try to run uses 1.50 kernel. Your PSP SLIM doesn't have 1.50 kernel homebrew support.

Luckily there is a Pandora Battery Creator that runs off of 3.XX firmware. But your PSP SLIM has to be running 3.60/3.71 M33 firmware for it to run. What firmware does your PSP SLIM have?

If it has 3.60 M33 or 3.71 M33 then go HERE and download the ospbt_0.4.zip application.

Extract the file after you have downloaded it and drag the ospbt folder to the /PSP/GAME folder of the Magic Memory Stick (you no longer have to use the old Pandora Creator application so just ignore it).

Next make sure the PSP FAT Battery is in the SLIM (The SLIM Battery will not fit into the FAT PSP so you will need to place the FAT PSP Battery into the SLIM PSP).

Now go to Game Menu memory Stick and run the "OS Pandora Battery Tool" you will get a warning screen first which you press X to continue to the main menu.

When you get to the main menu choose to backup the EEPROM to EEPROM.BIN file (Make sure you backup your EEPROM so you can recover your battery to normal after you have finished).

After it has backed up the EEPROM now select "convert battery to service mode (Pandora)"

After it has finished converting it to a Pandora battery exit the program then turn off the PSP.

Now put the Magic memory Stick into your FAT PSP and then place the Pandora Battery into your FAT PSP. A menu should come up giving you options to do.

After you have finished downgrading/upgrading the FAT PSP with the Pandora Battery plug your FAT PSP into the AC Adapter (without the Pandora battery in). Turn on the PSP and let it boot up. After it has booted place the Pandora Battery into the FAT PSP and run the OS Pandora Battery Tool again.

This time you will select write serial only from EEPROM.BIN to recover the FAT PSP battery back to normal.

After you have converted the battery back to normal exit the program and turn off the PSP. Now take out the PSP Battery and the AC Adapter. After both are out replace the Battery back into the PSP replacing the cover and you are now finished.

First off sorry if there is any confusion. it is kind of hard to give you my full attention when we have had another member come in and hijack the thread. I have reported him to a Mod so hopefully he doesn't do it to someone else. Now for some more help.

See if you can go into recovery menu.

Hold the R-Trigger down while turning on the PSP.

If you can then you only semi-bricked the PSP.

Go HERE and download and extract this RECOVERY Folder. Go into recovery menu (if possible) and then toggle the USB. This will enable USB between the PSP to PC if you have your USB connected between the 2.

Now drag the RECOVERY folder to the /PSP/GAME folder and then toggle the USB again to disable it.

Now go down to "RUN PROGRAM AT /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP

This should recover your PSP back to 1.50 firmware.

Now start over by going HERE and following this guide to get back to 3.52 M33-4.

Rhoden, start you own thread with your question instead of hijacking someone elses...it gets confusing when trying to help the OP and is rude.

Keep trying till it comes up. This happens some times at peek hours. There is so much bandwidth allowed for the free service. So just keep trying to download it till it actually loads the download.

It worked finally, I am downloading it now, then I just place this file, after unzipping it, into psp/game folder right?

correct. Then select RUN PROGRAM AT /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP and follow the on screen instructions.

This will downgrade the PSP back to 1.50 letting you return back to 3.52 M33-4 then 3.71 M33 if you want.

Go HERE and follow this guide for 3.52 M33-4 firmware.

Then HERE to install 3.71 M33-2 firmware + 1.50 ADD ON-2 (3.52 M33-4 needs to be installed first before installing this firmware).
