HI, Iam trying to install wiikey, on of the small solder points on the driver came out, all the other points are soldered. What could I do?
The solder point the fell is not taking new tin?
thanks

Solder to the drive chip leg by following the trace from the pad that came off, if the chip leg isnt there you may have to dremel the chip to reveal the trace. eg the d2c chipset (think thats the dremel one)
No the D2C chipset requires the new D2CKey mod chip.
But as he said you'll need to solder onto the chips leg (if he needed to dremel I think there are no original points to solder to so hewould have already had to dremel.
Soldering onto the chips legs is difficult and should only be attempted by someone who is very good at soldering (you can make a mess of your Wii very quickly)
A little tip for soldering to the legs is strip off about 1/4" of the wire. tin it with some solder, then cut it down to a smaller size. this reduces the amount of solder you have on the wire thus reducing the ability to bridge legs. It will also make it easier to solder to the leg first then connect to the mod chip.
messup on the legs also, my solder is too big 0.03 mm, solder got on 2 legs together, I am having hard time to remove the tin from the legs. Iam not sure if I broke the leg 7, for the point 4. I have the 1@ wii, so Iam using the wiikey. Went to a TV repair man, he suggested to use a copper phone wire around the solder since he did not have a smaller solder head. So the copper wire would work as a solde head. Was a good idea, if I can remove the tin. I will bring the driver to a optometrist to use his machine to the the ic legs, (so small)
Any idea how much to buy a new driver for the wii?
thanks
