psp history 2.71>1.5>3.52M33>3.52M33-4>brick

ok here is what happened.

I was flashing my original m334 xmb in to my flash0 through the xmb vsh usb connection and i rebooted via the switch and then it wouldn't boot at all. well it bricked so i went to my friends house and used his psp i hacked for him to make a Pandora battery. After i made it i shut down his psp popped out the jigkick batt and popped the jigstick into my psps then the jigkick battery in to mine... and nothing happned. well somthing did happen. the little green light came on then turned off after about 15 seconds.

so i ask you, did i make the pandora battery wrong or is a maybe a harware malfunction?

found your problem already; NEVER use any flash with the vsh menu. ALWAYS use the recovery menu.

for the battery, you're missing the magic memory stick. the battery does not work by itself.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

I had the memory stick in and that is the first time I've flashed with the vsh menu. Why would M33 make an option that is almost sure to cause errors?

Coders are not perfect and sometimes the firmware has bugs. It isn't like they did it on purpose. Just be gratefull you have CFW at all to run (3.71 M33-3 corrects this VSH/Flash0 issue)

As for the Magic memory Stick it seems you did not create the files properly on the memory Stick.

Either try redoing the Magic memory Stick.

Or

see if you can get into recovery menu on your PSP (Turn off PSP and Hold down R-trigger while turning the PSP back on).

If it goes into recovery menu then use this RECOVERY folder HERE. just extract the file and drag the RECOVERY folder to the /PSP/GAME folder (Toggle USB in recovery menu to access the memory stick)

After that go down to RUN PROGRAM AT /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP and it will recover your PSP back to 1.50 firmware.

Or

Use your friends PSP to create this Magic Memory Stick HERE which will automatically install to 3.71 M33-2 custom firmware.

Naw the program didn't. You have just installed it incorrectly or something. I don't see anyway that it would brick a Memory Stick.

Well maybe i don't quite know the definition of bricking a memory stick then. does it coincide with the inability for any machine to read it or write to it and or even detect it any longer?
