Hello, this is my first post on Afterdawn forums! :)
I have a few questions I'd like to ask, hopefully someone can help me. First, let me explain my situation.
1. I wanted to get my PS2 hooked up with all the right things it needs to be able to play online. One game I wanted to play online more than anything on my PS2 is Final Fantasy XI online. I prettymuch don't know anything about how to go about doing this. This is why I am researching online, to find out.
2. I do not have a phone jack in my room, but, I do have High Speed Comcast cable internet on my computer, which is right next to my PS2.
I am not sure if having a phone jack has anything to do with it, but I just thought I would give this info.
3. A friend said I could buy the HDD hardrive that goes into the back of the PS2, and connect some cord from the PS2 hardrive to my computer's modem, and that this would work (since I don't have a phone jack). Is this true?!?!
4. If so, then what all do I need? Just the Hardrive pack and a phone cord or something? Also after it is all complete will I be able to install FFXI online on the PS2 and play?
5.If not, is there any other ways?
6. My last question is, are there keyboards that you can get that plug into the PS2, like for online gaming purposes?
7. Finally, thanks to anyone who replies, it would be so helpful for me to finally get this all figured out. I don't mean to sound noobish or anything, it's just the fact that I don't know about this, since i've just recently got into online gaming. Anyone who can help me will be greatly appreciated.
