running custom themes on a 3.40 OE psp?

I am trying to run custom themes from here

and from what i understand you need to be running the latest sony firmware 3.70,am running 3.40 oe, i've heard some stuff about how you have to convert them to .XMB files, so can i run them? what do i need to do?

well you need the 3.71 custom or official firmare. i use 3.71 m33-3. the file extension is .ptf and all you need to do is put them in the PSP/THEME folder (THEME folder is inside PSP folder lol)
