You should edit your title. Make it something more direct. Regarding your question though, slower is usually better. Not always though, as my cousins system seems to like discs burned at 16X. I personally always burn at 4X.
Higher speeds are only recomanded on quality medai like Sony,Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden .etc I use Sony.
I do it like this. I f I really love this game and want to play
it for years and years I burn it @4x.
If its a game like yearly installment stuff or some other crap like
minigames and stuff or a game I really dont care about
I burn @8,12x.
If I use second rate media. I burn ALWAYS @4x. Because not that it causes any errors or increases loadtimes but the media is not
trusty.
