Elite premodded at $479 and the premium at $599, where I got mine modded (pm me for the address, I don't want to give them free advertisement). It's cheaper to buy one and send it somewhere to get it modded.

how is the premium 120 more than that elite? that doesnt make any sense at all. and charging 79 bucks to flash fw is a rip off. especially since it only costs about 10 bucks to buy the stuff you need to do the job.

I think he had the prices backwards. And even though you can buy the stuff for like 10-15$, alot of people are too scared to even attempt it. Granted, they really shouldn't... See how many "I lost my orig.bin" or "HELP!!" threads on here?
Granted, I can sell a Brand new modded Elite or a Modded Premium for less than that and that also includes shipping.

Dude, that is just the prices on the modding site where i got mine done. Sure $79 is a ripoff if you know how to do it, some of us who don't want to mess with it, it's not that bad. I've got like almost 100 backups now, well worth my $79 to get it modded.

for 79 bucks you could mail it to someone and get it done for free....serveral people on this forum will do it for free. thats about 20 games assuming you arent backing up your own collection.......

Yeah dude, but no offense to anyone here who mods them, I would rather send it to a business which does it, instead of some stranger on a forum. You got protections against a business, where you don't sending it to a stranger. I wouldn't care if it was to mod a Xbox, but 360s just cost too much. Probably cost me a lot more doing it the way I did, but it was worth it to me, just too big a risk sending it to someone on here. If you know the person before and trust them, then it's totally different, I would do it. The people who do it for free are really admirable for sure, I wouldn't take the risk of F-ing up someone's 360, but thats just me.

I bought mine for 390? already modded. A guy buys them in bulk and than opens the box, mods them and sells them as new (as they are).
He bought it for 300? and charged me 90? for the flashing.
My logic is, that I rather pay 90? and leave the flashing to poeople who know what are they doing.
He done a tremendous job, as the warranty sticker looks like new and also if I get RROD he will flash back the original firmware so I can send it back.
In my opinion totaly worth 90? :D
Its not like I wouldn't be able to do it myself. I just figured I might leave it to a professional.

nah i have one im trying to get rid of with about 40 games. just trying to see how much i can get rid of it for since im not really into the 360 anymore. mine isnt banned from live tho
